Why I'm Running
I’m proud to ask you for your vote for the Republican nomination to represent the sixth congressional district of Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives.
We - you - deserve better. Congress has forgotten that “of the people, by the people and for the people” means just that. We need a government that works for us and with us. We need public servants who understand the sacrifices made by our military men and women. We need representatives who know firsthand the challenges of providing for their families.
I am a lifelong public servant, a proud veteran, a committed father and am ready to serve - working closely with my colleagues in the House and Senate and alongside our President - to advance legislation that reduces burdensome regulation, brings jobs and economic prosperity back to our nation, and lays the foundation for a strong future.
I promise to be the candidate who knows how to take a government office and run it like a business - efficiently, fairly, honestly and transparently.
I promise to stand with President Trump in his efforts to improve business and job growth, while protecting our manufacturing jobs here at home and working to bring back jobs lost overseas.
I promise to be a strong voice for national defense and to serve the interests of our military men and women both at home and abroad while advocating for better mental health services and support.
And with the experience of working as a Clerk of the Circuit Court, I promise to support our law enforcement officers and all first responders, respecting and defending all those who put their life on the line to keep our neighborhoods safe.
Just as I commit to standing for your issues in the U.S. Congress, I thank you for standing with me in this election.
I'm a dedicated father to three beautiful daughters and a son-in-law.
Amanda (28), is married and resides in

A public servant
With a decade of experience in constituent services for the federal government -
both for Congressman Bob Goodlatte
and Senator George Allen -
and a decade of running the
Rockingham County Circuit Court
clerk’s office, I understand the issues facing Virginians in the 6th district.
I've also enjoyed giving back in my service in the Harrisonburg Rotary Club,
American Legion, and on the
Advisory Council of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Boys and Girls Club.
